STRI – Nocturnal Raptors of Portugal – is a project of the ALDEIA Association that was presented to the public on May 8, 2012 and intends to gather information about nocturnal birds of prey that occur in Portugal.
These birds have always been linked to strange folklore. By gathering information on the existing species in the country, it is hoped that an increased number of people will become aware of their importance and that, through a gathering of better knowledge and understanding, will help contribute to the promotion and conservation of these creatures.
